DEFINING CONCEPT : FRIENDSHIP

Life is so short that we need someone to share our thoughts and feelings. Definitely, a thought would arise in our mind asking who it could be whom we can trust so closely. Answer might be who someone closes to you, but who? Parents, brother, sister…..! Apparently, it hardly comes to anyone’s mind a “true friend”. You are no nearer to true friendship  than if you choose them for commercial reason. Besides who are you that you should be setting a price upon your friendship? It is enough for any man that he has the divine power of making friends, and he must leave it to that power of making friends. In this essay I will try to give my points of view toward friendship and definition of friendship.

The definition of friendship are the emotions or conduct of friends; the state of being friends and a relationship between friends. Friends are essential in our life just as food is essential for living. Moreover, it is essential to determine their friendship as we analyze the contents of the food before we eat. Friends and their friendship play a great role in everyone’s life. It is a gift that we offer because we must; to give it as the reward of virtue would be to set a price upon it, and those who do that have no friendship to give. We would meet a lot of people in our life, from those we choose friends and among those, we make our best friend.

Similarities Between Work and School

Meaning of compare and contrast paragraph : In a compare and contrast paragraph, you write about the similarities and differences between two or more people, places, things, or ideas.

Example: Work and school are very much alike in at least five ways. First, both require an early start. Going to work requires getting up early to avoid the traffic rush, and going to school requires getting up early to be assured of a parking space. Second, promptness is important in both places. Being at work on time pleases the employer; being in class on time pleases the instructor. Third, both involve quotas. A job imposes various quotas on a worker to ensure maximum production--for example, a certain amount of boxes must be filled on an assembly line, or a designated number of calls must be made by a telephone solicitor. Likewise, school imposes quotas on a student to ensure maximum effort--for instance, a certain number of essays must be written in an English composition class or a specific number of books must be read in an British Novel course. Fourth, both work and school deadlines must be met. On the job, the boxes would have to be filled and the telephone calls made by a certain time; in a class, the essays would have to be submitted and the books read by a certain date. Finally, both work and school benefit society. Workers produce useful and entertaining items for people to use, such as refrigerators and televisions. Similarly, students prepare themselves to enter fields like medicine and law, fields which serve society. It is not surprising that work and school share these five similarities, since one of the purposes of school is to prepare a student for the job of his choice.

Movie Review : The Last Airbender

Fourteen-year-old Katara and her fifteen-year-old brother, Sokka, are near a river at the South Pole. While hunting, they discover an iceberg that shoots a beam of light into the sky. Inside of the iceberg is a boy named Aang and a giant flying bison named Appa. Unknown to them, Aang is the long lost Avatar — the only person on the planet able to "bend" all four elements. One hundred years have passed since the Fire Nation has declared war on the other three nations of Air, Water and Earth in their attempt to conquer the world.
Zuko, an exiled prince of the Fire Nation, is on a quest to find the Avatar and bring him as prisoner to his father, Fire Lord Ozai. Seeing the light that appeared from Aang's release, Zuko and some Fire Nation soldiers arrive at the Southern Water Tribe to demand the villagers hand over the Avatar. Aang reveals himself as he surrenders himself to Zuko on the condition that he agrees to leave the village alone. On the ship, Aang is tested by Zuko's Uncle Iroh to confirm him to be the Avatar. After being informed that he is to be their prisoner for passing the test, Aang escapes using his glider and flies to his flying bison brought by Katara and Sokka. Aang and his new friends visit the Southern Air Temple and he learns that he was in the ice for a whole century and that the Fire Nation wiped out all Air Nomads, including his guardian, Monk Gyatso. In despair, he enters the Avatar state and finds himself in the spirit world where he encounters a dragon spirit that tells him to make his way to the Northern Water Tribe to master Water Bending.
While at a small Earth Kingdom town controlled by the Fire Nation, Aang's group is arrested because Katara tries to help a young boy from a patrol. They incite a rebellion by reminding the disgruntled Earthbenders that earth was given to them. Katara is given a Waterbending scroll that she uses to perfect her Waterbending and help Aang learn as they make their way to the Northern Water Tribe and liberate more Earth Kingdom villages in the process.
During a side track to the Northern Air Temple on his own, Aang is betrayed by a peasant and captured by a group of Fire Nation archers, led Admiral Zhao, a Fire Nation Admiral appointed by the Fire Lord. However, a masked marauder, the "Blue Spirit", helps Aang escape from his imprisonment. Zuko is the masked vigilante, and Zhao realizes this. He arranges to kill the prince. Zuko survives the attempt on his life with Iroh's help. He sneaks aboard Zhao's lead ship as his fleet departs for the Northern Water Tribe to capture the Avatar. Upon arriving, Aang's group is welcomed warmly by the citizens of the Northern Water Tribe. Immediately, Sokka befriends the Northern Water Tribe princess,Yue. After a few agreements, a waterbending master, Pakku, teaches Aang waterbending.
Soon, the Fire Nation arrives and Zhao begins his attack while Zuko begins his search for the Avatar on his own, capturing Aang as he enters the spirit world to find the dragon spirit to give him the wisdom to defeat the Fire Nation. Returning to his body, Aang battles Zuko before Katara freezes him. As the battle escalates, Iroh watches Zhao capture the moon spirit Tui, with which its water spirit counterpart had assumed the form of a fish. Despite Iroh's pleas, Zhao kills Tui to strip the Waterbenders of their powers and abilities to Waterbend. Yue explains to everyone that the moon spirit gave her life, willing to give it back as she dies in the process. With the tables turned, Zhao is drowned by Waterbenders after Zuko and Iroh leave him to his fate. Aang uses the ocean to drive the armada back. Aang now fully embraces his destiny as the Avatar as he, Katara and Sokka prepare to continue their journey to the Earth Kingdom to find an earthbending teacher for Aang. The Fire Lord learns of the defeat, and he appoints his daughter Azula to capture the Avatar.

Death Penalty for Children

Meaning of argumentative :The argumentative essay is a genre of writing that requires the student to investigate a topic, collect, generate, and evaluate evidence, and establish a position on the topic in a concise manner.

Example: The death penalty issue has always been one of the most important issues of the contemporary system of justice. Years ago the majority of the criminals were male over 20, but nowadays the situation has quite changed. Not only grown-ups but also by children who are under 18 years old nowadays commit murders and other terrible crimes. Ordinarily, a young criminal is not applied the same restrictions for his crime as a grown criminal is, nevertheless if it especially goes about capital crimes people start talking about the death penalty for such juveniles.
A child always remains a child and if he commits a crime it is not because he has had a good life. It is not the guilt of the children, but their big misfortune. It is a misfortune of not having anybody to love and truly support them and lead them in the correct direction. Along with that it is common knowledge that the period of 11 through 17 is a period of an especially intensive changes both in the organism and the mind of a child. That is why it is not fair to put a child in the same line with a grown up that can be completely responsible for his actions. A child is not mentally capable of comprehending the crime he or she commits. The system of values in the age under 18 is not built yet, other people can easily influence children and the psychic process are not stable yet. Under these conditions a child should never be sentences to death or a life sentence for they still have a chance to change and re-evaluate their life. If the aim of the prison is to change criminals for better then children under 18 should become the “material for changes” of the highest priority.

Twilight is a young-adult vampire-romance novel by author Stephenie Meyer. It is the first book of the Twilight series, and introduces seventeen-year-old Isabella Swan, who moves from Phoenix, Arizona Forks, Washingtons and finds her life in danger when she falls in love with a vampire, Edward Cullen. The novel is followed by New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn.

The Main characters

She's very smart and observant that she was the first to notice and find theories for the Cullens' strange actions and features. At the beginning of the novel, Bella finds "the hardest part is making decision, but once the decision is made, she can easily follow. However, as the novel progresses, Bella unconsciously learns how to make hard decisions and accept their consequences.

High school experience

When you start a new school or start a new grade you have all these emotions that run threw your head that may stress you out. When I started high school I had some problems along the way one of the problems I had was getting to school and class on time. Another thing that I had a problem with was all the homework and projects. The last thing that I worried about was making friends. After my first year at SMK Bukit Sentosa  high school ,I moved across town and went to another school called SMK Bunga Raya school. My first year of high school it was really fun and stressful at some points. One of my problems were getting to school and class on time. It was really stressful because the bus would come very early and I would have trouble waking up in the morning. Every first period I was late or missed class it was hurting my grade really bad so I asked my mom if she could bring me to school in the morning. With her bringing me to school it was easier to wake up and get ready.
Story of The War Stallion

Standing on his hind legs, this rare andalucian stallion,a Mustang is fearless. His ears are turned back while his noble looking head is held high. His all brown coat glistens in the late afternoon sun. His face displays a strong confidence with his nostrils flared, his veins bulging from his cheek bones, and his fiery black eyes burning holes into the souls of those who stare into them. His neck muscles are tensed and thickened with adrenalin. His golden main is thrown into the wind like a flag rippling in the winds of a tornado. His muscular front legs are brought up to his chest displaying his flashing gray hooves that could crush a man's scull with one blow. His backbone and underbelly are held almost straight up and his hind quarters are tensed. His back legs are spread apart for balance. His back hooves are pressed into the earth; therefore, his hooves cause deep gouges from the weight of his body on the soil. His blazing brown tail is held straight down and every once in a while a burst of wind catches it and then it floats down back into place like an elegant piece of silk falling from the sky. His bravery and strength are what made his breed prized as a warhorse.
Mosquito Dilemma (Narrative Paragraph)

I was astounded that mosquitos that live in campus are more intelligent than those that live in rural area.I was born in a small remote village in Sarawak,so it was common for us to experiance mosquito bites. They were easy to deal with as they lack of intelligence, which is of course I am refering to the ones who suck the blood out of my villagers.I came out with an idea of covering my bed with nets, which actually works without getting my hands dirty.I eventually believes that having the mosquito nets around me create a barier that isolate those blood sucking creature from my precious, sweet and sour blood.
Years later when I grew up,I had to leave my families to futher my studies in a university.
The very first night there, I hung up my mosquito net, and checked it carefully. After I had made sure that I had left no chance for those nuisances, I turned off the light and fell asleep. At midnight, I was woken up by an acute itching. I turned on the light and found a series of bulging buttons swelling on my back.

“The disgusting mosquitoes!” I said to myself, “You sucked my blood; I want you to pay for it with your life.” I swore and searched all over the ceiling and walls of my mosquito net, but couldn’t found a single mosquito there. If it was in a rural area, the mosquitoes would stand in a conspicuous place with their stomach filled with transparent carmine blood, elegantly lolling and enjoying their success, waiting stilly for a judgment from my huge hand slapping. But now my enemies had escaped successfully before I could give them a fatal blow.

I got frustrated and then lay back down helplessly. But I jumped up again not before long because I heard a light but very harsh noise of mosquito’s flying swiftly near my ears. My Dear! They had not yet gone. They were waiting for their second dinner! I turned on the light again and searched more carefully. However, I failed once again. This time I fetched a torch to search. Oh, my God! They hid themselves on the mat in a corner where it was difficult to find them. When I placed the light beam on them, they flew away swiftly and re-hid themselves. They were aware of imminent danger.

“If you can dig a cave for shelter, I will bury you there in the cave,” I swore, slapping every inch on the mat with my pillow until blood shedding was found.
The next night, I made my bed like a fort and made sure no mosquito could break into before I slept. However, my safety guarantee failed again. At midnight my arm swelled with a string of buttons with stinging concaves. I scouted everywhere scrupulously and made sure not a single mosquito had broken into my net.

Finally, the secret was revealed-- outside on my net, a team of mosquitoes was standing quietly and elegantly swing their antennas. They must have taken advantage when I unconsciously laid my arm against the net while I was sleeping. I told a friend about the mosquitoes on campus; he teased me ironically, “You attend college to learn knowledge and get cleverer, right? You know that a lot of intelligent elite dwell around the campus. Before you came here, the ancestor mosquitoes had been there for decades and had freely enjoyed the advantage of a high education generation after generation, so they have learned to be very smart.” I was flabbergasted by his weird theory.

However, he did tell me an authentic fact—the mosquitoes on campus are much smarter than those which live out away from urban areas.
